This article explains how to resolve the alert message “The barcode FACT was not recognised.”



Detail Steps


Issue

  1. Open the “Add Inventory” screen.



  2. Select Supplier.

  3. System prompt alert message “The barcode FACT was not recognised.”

Solution

This can be resolved by updating Preferences.

  1. Go to Options > Preferences > Barcode tab.

  2. Flag “Use Special Barcode Terminator as F12”.



If you do not have an F12 terminator turned ON and type fast, then the system will think you are a barcode reader.
