Description
Bins are effectively locations within locations and Zones are an additional separator normally used to identify an area of a warehouse.
In most warehouses, stock items are uniquely placed on the floor or in shelves etc. Bin allocation is critical for Multi-Location applications.
Detail Steps
For example, at any single warehouse location you may find Bins or Zones as shown below.
Bin for must move stock
Bin A1A (A= Aisle/row reference, 1 = row reference, shelf vertical reference (A lowest, Z highest))

Receiving area
Bin B1A
Bin B1B
Refrigerated Cool Room
Bin C1A
Bin C1B
Front Office Display and Sales Area
Bin D1A
Bin D1B

Related Information
Zones within location may not reuse bin numbers, bin numbers must be unique per location.
Zones can be used in pick list sorting.
